While attending a fall cane grinding event at a local working farm, I took photos of these striking large mules that were being hitched to pull the grinder. It was a step back in time! I drew this intricate image to familiarize myself with the harnessing and anatomy, as I plan to create a sculptural relief and an oil painting from this image, too.
